Rev. David Reji
Rev. David Reji was born and raised in a traditional Pentecostal house in a small town called Karukachal in Kottayam, Kerala. His parents, Rev. Reji Varghese and Mrs. Gracy Reji, who are in full time ministry were very keen in training and nurturing their three children in the fear of the Lord. Both his brother and sister along with their families are in full time ministry.
A systematic Christian Education through Sunday school and exposure to involvement in ministry through youth activities played a key role in his spiritual growth. He accepted Christ Jesus as his personal Savior and Lord at the age of ten and took water baptism, as well as received the Spirit Baptism in the same year. Upon completion of high school, he went to Luther W. New Jr. Theological College at Dehradun (India) for his bachelor’s degree program in Theology. While doing his studies in Dehradun, he was actively involved in the college’s short and long weekend ministry activities in North India. Moreover, during the summer holydays of his studies, he used to travel around North India with the North India Assembly of God missionaries with the purpose of evangelizing the North Indian villages. After finishing the college education from North India, he went on to do his master’s in biblical studies & Theology from SAIACS (South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies, Bangalore).
While doing his studies in Bangalore, he was involved in the church ministries as youth pastor to few local churches. Upon finishing his studies in Bangalore, the Spirit led him to pioneer an English church for his organization – Horeb Christian Assembly (HCA), Bangalore, as well as to overseer its village ministries in the state of Karnataka, India.
He got married in the year 2016 to Mrs. Ancy Easow. A year after, they were blessed with a daughter, named Katherine David.
After the four and half years of ministry works in Bangalore, in 2019 God led Pastor David and his family to move to US to join Wheaton College Graduate School, IL (USA) and obtained another master’s degree in Biblical Exegesis (OT & NT). While doing his studies at Wheaton College, he was part of ICAG (International Christian Assembly of God), church in Chicago and used to assist Rev. George K. Stephenson whenever it was possible. After his studies from Wheaton College, God led him and his family to let loose the secular offer (H1B visa lottery), to Ancy (Pr. David’s wife), to work as PT in a medical firm near Chicago, IL, to be the lead pastor of this newly planted Sharon Fellowship Church of Springfield. Pastor. Rev. David Reji and his wife committed their life to serve the Lord in this greater Springfield area.
He assumed the responsibility as the Lead Pastor of SFCS, MA on the second day of October, in the year of our Lord 2021. Rev. David Reji, his family and the SFCS, MA community seeks to establish a healthy multi-ethnic Pentecostal church in and around the area of Springfield, MA. It has always been his passion to see the church growing with new souls. The Lord, in the past, has helped him to bring people to Christ and have become part of the church, to strengthen the Youth Christian Education etc. He, therefore, prays to God to do the same through him in the Sharon Fellowship Church at Springfield.
